0800 Freephone Numbers

Due to the popularity of Freephone numbers, both in business and residential use,  Freephone prefixes additional to the traditional 0800 prefix are now in use. 0 80 80 was introduced in the late nineties and 0 80 81 in 2004. It will not be long before 0 80 82 is issued. And so on…

0800 is increasingly seen as 08000 which is simply a compression of a Freephone number where the fifth digit is an ‘0’. Hence 0800 071 4714 is always seen in TV commercials as 08000 714 714.  Fiat sometimes use 0800 071 5000 and sometimes 08000 715000 in their advertisements. Both are, of course, identical versions of the same number.

Calls to all numbers which start 080 are charged, in full, to the “ owner “  of the number rather than the caller. Rates and terms vary with the carrier, but calls in volume to our own ranges are charged at 4p per minute plus VAT and are charged by the second. There is usually no connection charge although there is a monthly service charge.

Whatever the 08 prefix the above numbers will typically only work within the
UK. For international use, go to +800 Universal on our mast head.

Apart from our own ranges we can supply any Freephone Number as long as it exists in an issued number range. We also have a large range of 0800 numbers for sale. Please contact us as to the availability of Freephone numbers of your choice, or call 0800 953 40 50.
